Well it´s been another long pause since I last updated this, and I won´t bore you with excuses, but we are busy people with important business to take care of that is very complex and technilogically advanced... and you might not understand it completely... so, yeah. Well anyway, here we are.
Before I get too much behind, a few quick words on Burgos.
For anyone who didn´t know, Michael and I signed up for an English language program in Spain called Vaughan Town. You take about 15 Spanish speakers and 15 ¨Anglos¨ and you get Vaughan Town... a week of linguistic wonders. We speak with the Spanish people all day every day for 6 days straight, in hopes of improving their listening and speaking skills. Also, it´s really fun. The Spaniards were all a blast. Well really, everyone there was. We had no idea really what we were getting ourselves into, but we really enjoyed ourselves thoroughly (despite Michael having a cold for most of the week, and me catching it by the end). The only downside to the whole thing was that the week was originally scheduled to take place in Salamanca, which we were SO looking forward to. We found out a week before that it was going to be in Burgos which we had never heard of, so needless to say there was some disappointment. Nevertheless it was a fun time... and I can´t tell you how AMAZING it is to stay in a 4 star hotel for a week after two months of hostels. We fully appreciated our enormous and comfortable room, our huge cushy bed and enormous bathroom that had a speaker inside it from the TV... so if you were watching some Spanish football or a lovely episode of Double Shot at Love on the European MTV, you can easily stroll to the washroom, take a rest in the bath tub or toilet or even the bedae (sp?), and continue listening to the glory of the television. Fantastic.
And I won´t even get started on how righteous (that´s right, righteous) it was to not have to raise a finger for our meals all week or pay for them... Not that they were really 4 star calibre, but they were free and for the most part hot, and sometimes even delicious... and did I mention they were free?
