to our delight, delicious cheese here is incredibly affordable, as are some amazing wine selections... So our current diet consists of brie, red wine, and smoked salmon... with some bread for good measure. I cant really tell if we´re getting fat... it might just be an optical illusion.

the good news is that the weather has leaped from spring right into a hot summer, so we have been tanning away on our balcony with hopes of fitting in more once our skin darkens.

Our town is pretty small, but full of British people who have either moved here or have vacation homes here. Everyone has been reallly nice to us... except when we went out to the bars on Saturday night. the first bar we hit had a really cool vibe and was really trendy... absolutely everyone smokes in the bars and I had forgotten how cloudy and gross that can get, really fast. it seems that in almost every bar you can get 1€ beer (nothing compares to our delicious 1€ bottles of wine though). Anyway great music and feel... though we soon realized how incredibly clique-y the people in our town were, at least in this setting. everyone knows everyone and we were definitely looked at as outsiders and werent really welcomed. I think they just couldnt be bothered with speaking English... they were all talking in mad flusters of Spanish.

we decided to be a little more productive today (instead of wasting away in the sun), so we are in Fuengirola (the nearby bigger town) doing more grocery shopping and walking around and whatnot. We are investigating our next move from here, as the lady we are house-sitting for comes back on Saturday.
